But I have a plan, and I will make changes. And this summer is going to be a fresh start and I cannot wait for it to begin.
The school year is over and I'm sitting here helping close the building. Another year done, and I don't know what's coming next. I don't know if I have one year or two left here at UCM (though I hope two) and I don't know what I'm doing after graduation.
But I have a plan, and I will make changes. And this summer is going to be a fresh start and I cannot wait for it to begin.

Today being the day, I have decided to dedicate a post to Star Wars. Now as a disclaimer, I would not call my obsess. I would consider my fondness to be of the "fanboy" variety. I am an adult who owns at least 1 Lightsaber and a Vader alarm clock (among a lot of other stuff), but most of my paraphernalia has come as gifts and it is easy to use "I like Star Wars" as a fun fact when introductions have to be made. I would not consider myself obsessed, but I do love it. Though looking back on it, I definitely had an early stage of my life in which I was obsessed, Padme chapstick holder necklace and t-shirts everyday, reading the off-shoot Star Wars novels, fighting siblings with Lightsaber's and Jango's arm shooter. . . and possibly crying when a kid on the bus found (STOLE!) my Jango action figure jet pack (admittance of having action figures).
And which movie is my favorite you ask? Attack of the Clones. Many people may pick that one as terrible, but I was at an influential age and it has a special place for me. It kind of served as a gateway in my life, and I will always appreciate that. And after years of schooling where I was required to read certain material, Jude Watson's Jedi Quest: The Trail of the Jedi got me interested in reading for fun again. So have a wonderful National Star Wars Day everybody. May the forth be with you. New month and school is nearly out! Last night I finished seven scholarships, and that rounds up what I needed to do for school work. I have 1 final in class, 1 online final, and a campaign brainstorming session left before school is officially out!
I'll still be in Warrensburg this Summer, working as a Summer Conference Assistant. I'm pretty excited for this to begin. I'm even more excited for summer adventures with friends. That is an understatement; it will be amazing. That is something I will have to keep in mind. It doesn't matter what is stressing me or what I don't like that is going on, there will be relief this summer. And I won't have to worry about it. That's it. Nearly out! |
