Today is one of those days. Honestly, things are manageable and just frustrating, but the quantity of frustrating is where the issue is. People are going above others' heads, and small tasks are being micromanaged. I'm seeing a complete lack of pathos in a lost of ethos in things daily. But frankly, this isn't a new phenomenon.
Then we have Rapist Brock Turner in the news (coined by Philip Defranco in 2016 - not proper citation format, but it serves its purpose) alongside Larry Nassar.

No, neither of you two men are the victims in these situations (sort of with the latter as you were physically attacked, but that's not what is at play here). Yes, you may have faced challenges amid whatever life circumstances you had to get here, but that's not why we're here.

And that is where that tangent ends. Reminiscent of a telegram, we're moving on. Because even with the shit that is flying everywhere, I would like to take a moment to recognize tiny positives. Maybe I'm overly hopeful. Maybe I just hear Smokey Bear judging me preemptively.
Yesterday, Demi Lovato was hospitalized. There is a lot to this situation. Personally, I adore her - I grew up with Camp Rock, and I admire her vocalization on pertinent issues today. And though there can be something claimed about the social media group think, this was still what was trending yesterday.
