I've been distant here, so I'm going to be doing a bit of catch up with projects that I have completed a bit ago. For me, this is slowly going to be transition from Crafts to whatever creative outlet I am working on.
I can share that right now, with COVID 19 surrounding the world, it's difficult to maintain creativity and enthusiasm for projects while trying to reinforce personal needs and wellbeing. I have found that when I cook/bake, I can move outside of bounds and test things the most. But even here I have limits of supplies and usage. I've realized that I like to share when I bake, so now may not be the best time for that. Which has led me back to here. I adore this little blog I have going, and it does help with my own creativity. So instead of this page being the "Crafts! Sometimes I get too much time on my hands and just need to do something. These are the results." This once was, I'm going to be moving it to just a general creative space. No rules, no expectations. Just a mix of words, reflection, and self-encouragement.
I am working on a few projects right now, but first, let's look back on the previous projects I have made, because it's a starting point for now.
Projects from college days
A few of my old projects from my college days living in the Residence Halls. It's been a few years. In some instances, I painted pottery. In others, I mixed my fandoms with up-cycled parts or other materials floating around for cheap and efficient little trinkets.
An up-cycled candle holder using a Divergent Dauntless symbol.
An up-cycled candle container with the sun from Tangled. The sun was created using sticker sheets and then scratching off the siding of latex paint.
Another up-cycled candle jar I painted with a sea foam green and gave it a gold rim.
I painted this one from the inside for the green, and let the cracks stay.
A basic dino boredom creation. I used my most vibrant colors on a wooden circle.
This is part of a Rapunzel set of creations! It's a wooden circle with pearls around the edges. I free-handed the sun.
It's been years and now I'm finally adding more of my creations. I hope I don't continue to wait just as long as there will certainly be more to come.
